Vineyard Manager
Craig Thornton is Deakin Estate's vineyard manager. Craig spent his childhood growing up in the Murray Darling region.
Upon completion of his secondary school qualification he commenced his career with the CSIRO as a farm apprentice.
This was then followed by a degree in horticulture from the University of Melbourne
Craig first spent time at Deakin Estate in 1995 working as a Horticultural technician. He left the estate after a three year tenure to take up employment consulting as an agronomist across various plantings throughout the Sunraysia. He later returned to Deakin Estate as an Assistant Farm and Technical manager.
Craig has managed the Vineyard and Citrus operation at Deakin Estate since 2005.
